If you’re approaching age 65, Medicare decisions can feel confusing
especially when you already have coverage through the VA or TRICARE.
Our team is available Monday-Friday to help you prepare for Medicare.
You can apply for Medicare as early as three months before the month you turn 65.
If you have permanent kidney failure or if you receive Disability benefits
you may already be eligible for Medicare.
It's important to sign up promptly to avoid gaps in coverage or late enrollment penalties. However, if you're already covered through an employer group health plan, it might make sense to sign
up for Medicare later or delay Part B.
If you're eligible for Tricare for Life, then you will need Medicare Part A & B in order to qualify for Tricare for Life.
Insurance companies have created Medicare Advantage plans to meet the needs of our Veterans. These plans are designed to work with those who have TRICARE for Life and coordinate with any current VA benefits. If you already have supplemental plans like dental, you can keep them or drop them to save more.
Dental and vision benefits are often included in Medicare Advantage plans for veterans but it largely depends on what is available in your area. Call one of our representatives to see what you qualify for in your area.
In 2026, the standard Medicare Part B premium was raised from $185/mo to $202.90/mo. What a lot of veterans don't know is that there are programs that can reduce their total monthly premium every month. If you'd like to learn more feel free to call our office.
Yes you can! It is important to work with one of our trained advisors to make sure you select the right plan. Some plans may limit doctor choices while others give you the same open access you enjoy today.
"I was overwhelmed trying to figure out Medicare and TRICARE. VIA broke everything down, no pressure, and got me into the right plan. And now they're helping my wife with life insurance too."
"After years of trying to navigate Medicare on my own, I was tired of the confusion and conflicting advice. VIA listened, asked the right questions, and found a plan that worked perfectly with my VA benefits."
"I've talked to a lot of agents over the years, but none took the time like VIA did. They explained everything in plain English and helped me make the best decision for my health and my future."
"VIA showed me benefits I didn't even know I was eligible for. They explained everything clearly, made the process simple, and treated me like family. I've already referred three of my fellow Airmen to them."
"I'm really happy with my vision benefits. Working with Stephen made it easy to find the right plan!"
